Why is Ekata deprecating the age range and gender signals? Our products need to be used to assess risk where we can guarantee that we do not provide information to discriminate against individuals. The deprecation of these signals helps meet that goal.
Will this affect the Identity Risk Score? No. Gender and age range are not inputs into the Identity Risk score. Therefore, no change.
If I use age range or gender signals in my workflow, how will that affect my operations? Once these signals are no longer offered, any model or workflow that utilizes the signals will receive a [null] response in the API. Those signals will no longer appear in Pro Insight.
Is there a different product that will offer the signals? No. After the signals are deprecated, Pro Insight and Identity Check API customers will no longer be able to receive either signal.
What will the response be if my model or ingest of these signals still calls for them? A request for either signal will receive a [null] response via API.
As my company uses age range and/or gender signals in its workflows, can I file for an exemption? No.
